NLP Speech Interface Engineering

Voice-activated cabin controls utilize Natural Language Processing (NLP) and far-field microphone arrays to enable hands-free elevator operation. Technically, the system is comprised of a voice recognition module integrated into the Cabin Operating Panel (COP). The module uses beamforming technology to isolate the passenger’s voice from the mechanical noise of the elevator. The AI-driven software can recognize multiple languages and dialects, converting speech into command signals for the lift controller. For safety, the system is designed with "Keyword Activation" to prevent accidental calls from background conversation, and it includes an offline mode that performs basic floor calls without requiring an active internet connection, ensuring reliability at all times.
