Technically, this involves a bidirectional power inverter that can draw power from the grid or a building’s battery storage during peak demand. The engineering focus is on "Load-Balancing," where the lift communicates with the building’s smart grid to optimize its energy consumption—for example, by moving at a slightly reduced speed during peak electrical hours to save costs. The system includes a high-capacity regenerative drive that can push energy back into the building’s local grid during braking, turning the lift into a vertical energy generator.
